Introducing Wild Hearts Family Cooperative

Nature-Based Montessori Education

Wild Hearts has been offering high-quality nature-based Montessori education in Moore County for 12 years. This fall, we’re transitioning to a parent-led cooperative model—giving families the same outdoor educational experience at a fraction of traditional preschool cost.

Who This Program Is For

This co-op is designed for homeschooling families or families seeking community-based alternative education who can commit to volunteering in the classroom 1x/week or 1x/month (your choice). You don’t need teaching experience—we provide full training, curriculum, materials, and ongoing support from experienced educators.

What You Get

Your child receives nature-based Montessori education in our established outdoor classrooms:

  • Curated learning materials (Montessori-inspired tools, art supplies, science materials, sensory activities)
  • Beautiful outdoor spaces (farm school, creek, gardens, open fields, wooded areas)
  • Small class sizes with trained parent facilitators
  • Community with like-minded families

Parents receive:

  • Comprehensive training before the school year begins (August orientation covering classroom management, emergency procedures, facilitator training, and hands-on practice with materials)
  • Easy-to-follow nature-based curriculum guide designed by experienced Montessori educators
  • Flexibility to customize activities based on your strengths and interests and those of the students
  • Administrative support and volunteer coordination
  • Quarterly meetings with other parent facilitators to collaborate and plan

Time Commitment

Choose the option that works for your family:
