Dear Garden Families,
We have news. The kind we’ve been dreaming about for a very long time.
The Garden Montessori is getting a home.
Not a rented classroom. Not a shared space. A real, permanent home, with land, gardens, space for animals, and room for our programs to grow in ways we’ve always envisioned but never had the space to build.
The Garden Montessori Farm School will bring together everything we believe about childhood: Montessori practice, connection to the natural world, creativity, and the kind of slow, intentional learning that truly impacts who children become.
Here’s what we can tell you now:
Megan & Ellen have purchased a property in Carthage with acreage that includes spacious buildings we will renovate and make our own, raised garden beds, dedicated space for animals (think bees, chickens, ducks, goats and maybe even a donkey!), a creek, open fields, and room to grow. We will begin transitioning into the space this summer. Our Family Cooperative will launch on this campus in fall 2026, with full Montessori enrollment for ages 15 months through lower elementary (6-9yrs) opening for the 2027-2028 school year.
THIS WILL NOT IMPACT ANY 26-27 ENROLLMENTS OUTSIDE OF OUR LINDEN RD CO-OP PROGRAM.
Here’s what we’re asking:
We are still tying together some final pieces of this transition, and out of respect for everyone involved, we need to hold off on sharing the specific location publicly until May. We know that’s hard when you’re excited (we’re barely containing ourselves over here!), but we want to do this the right way.
In the meantime, keep your eyes on our social media. Megan will be dropping hints over the coming weeks, and in early May, we’ll share the full story, the location, and the incredible history of the space we’re stepping into.
What this means for your family:
Nothing changes about your child’s current enrollment or program. As we get closer, we’ll share more about what the Farm School means for our community and how families can get involved. We’ll also have details on tours, events, and enrollment for 27-28 in the months ahead.
We have wanted this for thirteen years. We are so glad you’re here for it and can’t wait to share more!
